While I'm a candle lover through and through, I'm admittedly one who frequently forgets to blow them out before I leave the house. So when Lindsey Murray, Commerce Director at Hearst Magazines, told me that #CandleTok made her buy the viral candle warmer, I was fully intrigued.

The first question I asked was does the TikTok candle warmer actually work? Both Murray and Amazon reviewers say yes—the electric candle warmer lamp effectively melted the candle wax and produced a noticeable scent. Equally as important, its dimmable design and stylish appearance create an inviting ambiance that looks nice anywhere around the home.

Encased in a decorative glass shade, the lamp's 50-watt halogen bulb warms the candle below to a meltable temperature of 240°F without requiring an open flame. In addition to eliminating smoke and soot, heating the wax from above encourages it to melt evenly. As a result, candles last longer and less wax goes to waste. "It actually really helped to fix some of my candles that were tunneling, which was a huge pro," Murray says.

Her only con: The candle warmer worked best in small rooms, such as a bathroom or home office. In larger spaces, some scented candles didn't seem to smell as strong as they did when lit conventionally. So if you're someone with a sensitive nose, a candle warmer may be a great way to enjoy more potent scents without them becoming overwhelming.

It's compatible with candles of all shapes, sizes, and scents, so long as they aren't more than 5.5 inches tall.
